Reading Machine for Partially Sighted People.

The machine comprises 2 parts; the lower part consists of two powerful halogen lamps separated by a closed circuit camera. These are contained in a shielded housing facing down on to a multi directional sliding table. On this platform can be placed all types of reading materials such as Books, Newspapers, and Maps etc. On top of the base unit sits a large 21-inch monitor, which displays the image from the camera. This image can be magnified up to 40 times. To reduce glare when reading Books etc the screen can be switched to reverse block (white print on a black back ground). Other features include an on screen moveable under-line. The monitor is full black & white and they’re for ideal for viewing Photographs or Maps.
