THE ROLE
OFFICIAL JOB TITLE: - SCADA/PLC ENGINEER
Design, development and implementation of projects using a variety of manufacturers PLC / SCADA solutions on a variety of projects.
• To be responsible for assigned SCADA / PLC development activities involving design, development and technical liaison with suppliers, engineers and site activities associated with the projects when allocated.
• To develop the SCADA / PLC in accordance with the requirements of the project specification as defined and thus meeting the requirements of the Client.
• To execute the work in the most cost-effective manner and provide the best possible commercial return.
• Interpret the client specifications to develop project Fundamental Design Specifications, Software Design Specifications and drawings in accordance with both the project documentation requirements and S&I standard procedures, in a logical sequence to meet the timescales of the allocated projects.
• Develop the SCADA / PLC system in accordance with the project specifications and Client's requirements.
• Test the SCADA / PLC system in accordance with the project specifications and the Client's requirements.
THE CANDIDATE – Essential Skills
• Microsoft Office
• InTouch / WinCC
• Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000
• AutoCad
• Visual Basic
• SQL
Desirable skills
• The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in Electrical engineering, preferably within an office environment.
• Specific experience of LV or MV switchgear or associated products would be a distinct advantage, as would a good educational background to at least ONC standard in Electronic/Electrical Engineering.
