The Savanna restaurant is an established venue in St Albans and is in the market for a new Head Chef. The restaurant is situated in the historic part of the city in St Michaels Village close to the nearby park and river. We are looking for an accomplished, driven & business minded person to join the team to lead from the front in all aspects of the food offering.

A proven track record in high end modern British food is essential, as you will be taking on the restaurant as well as catering for a growing events calendar. We expect the kitchen to prepare fresh, innovative, locally sourced produce to a very high standard with a creative, exciting, seasonally changing menu.

This is an opportunity for someone to take charge of the kitchen team and be actively involved in the running of the business. A business minded approach is essential.

Previous experience as a Head Chef is essential as is the ability to turn out excellent food, consistently, calmly and in good time is fundamental. We’re also open to discussing joint venture business opportunities in respect of the running of the restaurant. Importantly we need a good team player with ambition, a sense of fun & who wants to establish themselves through the development of a destination restaurant.

Salary/package negotiable depending upon experience.
