Description: This family are seeking a full-time, live-in nanny for their three children, twin boys (4) and X (Girl, 9) who has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. X is a bright, affectionate and strong willed girl who communicates using a communication board and an electronic talker she is not verbal but very vocal! She is very out going and does lots of different activities, from horse riding to skiing, swimming and trampolining. (You need to be able to keep up with her!). She attends a mainstream school and the nanny would accompany her to school three mornings a week. X is able to walk (using a handling belt) and uses a wheelchair for longer journeys. The nanny would be responsible for all aspects of X's personal care, and will be given training on administering emergency medication (X has no medical needs and fits very occasionally). The nanny would be working in a team alongside another (live-out) nanny. The busiest times of the day are first thing in the morning and last thing at night, but mum is always around. Being able to work as part of a team is essential to this position. Her two brothers are very lively and this is a noisy, busy and fun household! The family will also organise different courses and training related to their child's needs. The suggested working hours are set out below but the family are flexible and will organise weekend cover if required when given due notice. Monday - Wednesday 6.30-11.45am (morning at school) / 11.45-3.15pm (non contact time) / 3.15-7.30pm - Thursdays (Day Off) - Friday 7.00-9.15am / 3.00pm -7.30pm (Flexible day off if arranged) - Saturday and Sunday 7.00-7.30pm (with break during the day).
Further details are available on request.
