We are based in Halifax but gig mostly in Leeds and Bradford (as they have better live venues)...we have got some great gigs lined up soon so if your a fast learner you could get some decent live work....at the moment we are building up a name so we are playing a few freebie gigs but we expect to earn a bit of money soon enough (although our main priority is just playing great live shows really)...We are playing at Josephs Well on June 27th and expect a full crowd of about 300 due to the bands on the bill - the headline band is a 10 piece band complete with female backing vocals, brass section, etc etc and has got a great history (the lead singer toured with the police in 79 and bob marley in 78)....someone on brass would be great for that one (but would require a bit of quick practice beforehand)....We play original reggae music but arent your stereotypical reggae band (we dont have the dreads and we dont all smoke) - but we have great fun and we are all good mates. Our rehearsals are always enjoyable and although we are professional in terms of wanting to sound good it is never done in a stressful way. Enjoyment is our main aim. We would love to get a decent brass player/players on board - and hopefully before the big gig in June and the one in August (in front of about a thousand or so Im told by the landlord - its a charity event in a big car park in Guisley - it featured on Look North last year)......we are at the moment a 5 piece band (bass, drums, 2 guitars and keys)...I do the vocals and write the songs....we practice at a full recording studio and they record our last hour for nowt which is what you hear on the myspace page....easy way of getting a decent demo of your playing as well....we have plans to record an album soon enough so it could be an interesting project for you to get involved in. We wont dictate how you play - we will just leave some gaps for you and it will be up to you how you fill them basically!
